Our Story
It began in a small town called Sathyamangalam.
I grew up around sarees.
In Sathyamangalam, they belonged to ordinary life as much as to temples, weddings and festivals.
Over time I began noticing the details—the fall of a fabric, the balance of colour, the finish of a border, and the difference between a piece that looked attractive and one that felt right when worn.
After moving to the city, what I missed was not a label or a price point. It was the ease of finding textiles that felt well chosen and honestly described.
So I began speaking with manufacturers and textile suppliers, looking more closely at fibres, looms, yarns and finishes.
That became Vanamalika Weaves—collections chosen in considered batches, some handloom, some powerloom, some festive, some meant to be worn often.
Handpicked Heritage—that is the heart of Vanamalika Weaves.
