A Note from Sandhya

Building something meaningful, one piece at a time.

Vanamalika Weaves began at a point in my life when I wanted two things to coexist: being present for my family and building something that felt entirely my own.

Sarees were the natural beginning.

They connect me to Sathyamangalam, to the women I grew up watching, and to a quiet understanding built over years of seeing fabric, colour, borders and drape up close.

During a season of stepping away from full-time work to raise my young son, I began returning to that familiar world more intentionally.

I started looking beyond whether a saree was simply attractive. I wanted to understand what it was made from, how it had been produced, how it would feel when worn and whether it offered fair value for the woman choosing it.

That became the foundation of Vanamalika Weaves.

I am building this slowly.

I personally look at each piece, ask questions about its material and making, and share only the information I can stand behind.

I would rather offer a smaller collection with clarity than a large catalogue built on vague descriptions.

Vanamalika is meant to feel personal without becoming pressuring. When you speak to us, the aim is not to show you everything. It is to understand what you are looking for and help you see the pieces that may genuinely suit you.

My hope is simple.

When you choose something from Vanamalika, I want you to feel not only drawn to its beauty, but also confident about bringing it home.

I hope every piece you choose becomes part of a celebration, a memory or simply an ordinary day made a little more beautiful.
